Jerry was born on December 25, 1953, and completed high school in St. Paul, Nebraska. In 1972, he faced a decade-long battle with addiction before coming to Christ in April 1982. In 1985, Jerry enrolled in Bible College and earned a BA in Pastoral Missions/Bible (double major) in 1989. His calling to missions was affirmed during a concert while in college, leading him to the Philippines from 1992 to 1998. In 1998-2000, he served as the Pastor of Ansley Baptist Church. From Ansley, Jerry lived in McCook from 2000-2006 where he worked at the Work Ethic Camp and was also the Pastor at Evergreen Union Church from 2001-2006. Jerry then went to Kansas City from 2006-2017 when an opportunity for him to work in jail ministry opened up. Upon returning to McCook in 2017, Jerry and his wife became active members of McCook E-Free Church. Jerry taught a LifeStudy class on Sunday mornings for adults at our McCook Campus which he continued to do so until he was selected to be Cambridge Campus Pastor in December of 2023.
