Life is hard.
The dog whines all night, keeping you up. The tiny humans in your house fall ill, and sleep disappears. Your washing machine decides to break in the middle of your laundry day. The check engine light comes on as you’re sitting in traffic. Your bank card gets flagged for fraud in the checkout line. You’re stuck on hold trying to sort out a medical bill. And those are just minor hiccups.
Sometimes, there are things that really try to break your spirit. When your child tells you they are better off without you. The phone call telling you your grandparent’s health is declining swiftly. The medical diagnosis that rocks you to your core. A car accident. A freak accident that changes your family and your life instantly.
It’s these moments that test you. They test your mental fortitude. They test your heart. They test your faith. These are moments when we all need an important reminder: you are not alone. Psalm 23 says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me....”
God is with you. When you are walking the floor with fussy tiny humans, God is with you. When mopping up water from a water leak, God is with you. When sitting beside your other half, holding their hand, uncertain of what the future may hold, God is with you.
There is absolutely nothing you will go through in this life that God will not come alongside and walk with you. You do not have to walk through anything on your own. Menial or major, you can always turn to God and give Him your struggles.
You are not alone.
